Conflict Mineral Procurement Management Policy

Hiwin Technology places great emphasis on corporate social responsibility, which includes protecting human rights and the environment, as well as adhering to ethical standards. Our goal is to establish a sustainable supply chain procurement mechanism. While strictly complying with the principles of sustainable development, we are committed to ensuring that the sources of our upstream supply chain products meet the standards of a sustainable supply chain. This commitment not only protects the rights and interests of our customers but also demonstrates our practical efforts to achieve sustainable development.

Due to the illegal mining of tantalum, tin, tungsten, gold, cobalt, and mica in the Central African region, including the Democratic Republic of Congo and neighboring countries, which funds armed groups and fuels regional conflicts, both the United States Congress and the European Union have enacted regulations banning conflict minerals. While these minerals are not essential to Hiwin Technology's product operations and manufacturing, we have implemented a Conflict Minerals Procurement Management Policy to ensure responsible and sustainable sourcing. This policy requires our suppliers to comply to policies prohibiting the use of conflict minerals.

Hiwin requires its suppliers not to purchase or use mineral raw materials from conflict areas. We conduct regular inspections of our upstream supply chain to ensure transparency and legality of material supply. In addition, we require our suppliers to provide a clear commitment not to use conflict minerals. We also comply with international regulations to align our business activities with global social expectations. This reflects our strong commitment to sustainable development and responsible business practices. We continuously improve our management processes and monitoring mechanisms to meet the highest standards of human rights and environmental protection. In doing so, we contribute to the establishment of sustainable supply chains.
