Since its establishment, Hiwin Technologies Corp. has been guided by the principles of Professional Excellence, Working Enthusiasm, and enterprise Ethics & Responsibility. We incorporate the concept of environmental sustainability into every aspect of our operations, including procurement, production, transportation, product use, and disposal/recycling. We proactively engage with our customers, suppliers, contractors, subsidiaries, joint ventures, and the community to work towards a sustainable future through de-pollution, decarbonization, and dematerialization. We apply these principles when conducting due diligence on new sites, mergers, and acquisitions, and commit not to fund lobbying activities related to anti-climate policy issues, striving to be a leader in green manufacturing, and move towards to net-zero emissions by 2050.

Hiwin is committed to implementing the environmental policy according to the following management principles:
1. Continually watch global climate change trends, assess opportunities and risks, allocate resources to implement energy, water and waste reduction measures, and promote circular economy.
2. Committe to promoting and implementing environmental protection by meeting or exceeding environmental laws, regulations and standards in domestic and international locations. Our goal is zero waste and zero pollution.
3. The Company has established an environmental management system in accordance with ISO14001 and follows a four-stage processes of planning, do, check and action to ensure continuous improvement. Progress and effectiveness are regularly reported to the Board of Directors to ensure successful implementation.
4. Conduct regular environmental risk assessments and training to value chain partners, which increases environmental awareness and knowledge among company employees, subsidiaries, suppliers, contractors.
5. We comply to the principles of the Supplier Code of Conduct for the procurement of raw materials and components. Our focus is on promoting local and environmentally responsible sourcing, managing conflict minerals, and creating a green and low carbon emission supply chain.
6. Promote environmental management system and proactively set environmental management goals to continuously reduce environmental impact and improve environmental performance.
7. At the product design and development stage, we aim to improve the energy efficiency of our products through technological innovation. We also aim to adopt circular economy approach to our products, from raw materials to end use, by promoting recycling and minimizing waste. Our commitment to sustainable product stewardship includes eliminating harmful and banned substances, reducing environmental impact, and ensuring the long-term viability of our products.
8. During the manufacturing and production, it is critical to improve efficiency of energy resource and water consumption, minimize greenhouse gas emissions, properly handle and manage wastewater, waste, air pollution and hazardous substances, and adopt environmentally friendly practices such as green production, manufacturing and recycling.
9. In the transportation and logistics, we prioritize to use environmentally friendly packaging materials, such as lightweight and recycled paper. We also focus on sourcing raw materials locally to minimize transportation distances and carbon emissions.
