Anti-Discrimination and Anti-Harassment Policy
Hiwin Technologies Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "Hiwin Technology") is committed to creating a friendly, harmonious, and respectful workplace that upholds equality. We have implemented a "zero tolerance" policy towards any form of discrimination and harassment in the workplace. As such, Hiwin Technology has developed an "Anti-Discrimination and Anti-Harassment Policy" to ensure that all employees are treated with the dignity and fairness they deserve in the workplace.
I. "Zero Tolerance" for Discriminatory Behavior
To ensure equal employment opportunity, no employee shall discriminate in hiring or the performance of work based on race, class, language, ideology, religion, political affiliation, place of origin, birthplace, sex, sexual orientation, age, marital status, physical appearance, facial features, physical or mental disability, ancestry, blood type, or any other identity protected by applicable law.
II. Prohibition of Harassment
Hiwin Technology is committed to providing a harassment-free work environment. We strictly prohibit all forms of harassment, including but not limited to:
1. Sexual Harassment
(1) Any words or actions that involve sexual demands, have sexual connotations or discriminate on the basis of sex create a hostile, coercive, or offensive work environment and interfere with work performance.
(2) The terms of employment contracts cover aspects such as continuity, changes, distribution, assignment, compensation, performance evaluation, promotion, demotion, rewards, and penalties. These terms must not include any implicit or explicit sexual language or actions, or gender discrimination.
(3) When seeking employment, during employment, or while performing job duties, individuals under the command or supervision of others may misuse their authority or position to engage in inappropriate language or behavior.
2. Other Harassment (including stalking)
Any of the following conduct that is repeated or persistent, against the individual's will, and related to sex or gender, using personnel, vehicles, tools, equipment, electronic communications, the Internet, or other methods:
(1) Approaching the residence, dwelling, school, place of employment, frequent destinations, or places of activity of specific individuals through surveillance, observation, tracking, stalking, waiting, following, or similar methods.
(2) Making warnings, threats, ridicule, insults, discrimination, hatred, disparagement, or other similar words or actions towards specific individuals.
(3) Interfering with specific individuals by telephone, fax, electronic communications, the Internet, or other devices.
(4) Unauthorized or abusive use of personal information to order goods or services is prohibited.
(5) Requesting a date, contacting someone, or engaging in other pursuit behaviors toward specific individuals.
(6) Sending, displaying, or saving explicit content to specific individuals.
(7) Broadcasting text, images, sound, films, and other information that damages reputation.
III. Management Mechanism
1. Promotion and Education Training:
Continually promote Hiwin Technology's "Anti-Discrimination and Anti-Harassment Policy" through electronic announcements, departmental bulletin boards, meeting announcements and training. This includes providing information on different types of discrimination and harassment, reporting and complaint mechanisms, and Hiwin Technology's procedures and methods for handling such cases.
2. Grievance and Reporting Mechanism:
If you come across any violations, please file a grievance or report them using the following method:

3. Whistleblower Protection Mechanism:
The reporter or complainant may provide specific details of the incident or relevant documents, either by providing their name or remaining anonymous. Hiwin Technology is committed to maintaining the confidentiality of personal information and the content of the report or complaint. The Company will not take any action to discharge, transfer or otherwise discriminate against the reporter or complainant as a result of the report or complaint.
4. Investigation and Remedial Measures:
(1) The investigation of the case will be conducted in a confidential, fair and objective manner to protect the rights and interests of the complainant / whistleblower.If the results of the investigation show that there are individuals who have violated the "Anti-Discrimination and Anti-Harassment Policy", Hiwin Technology will impose appropriate penalties according to the severity of the violation. These violations will also be considered in performance evaluations, which may result in deductions; For serious violations, the individual will not be eligible for an outstanding rating for that quarter or year. Deductions will also be made from bonuses and dividends based on the violation.
(2) To ensure the successful implementation of any disciplinary or corrective action, Hiwin Technology will consistently monitor, evaluate and supervise to prevent the recurrence of similar incidents or retaliation.
(3) External counseling or medical facilities may be recommended to provide professional assistance based on the complainant's physiological or psychological needs.
